Turkey denies Yerevan’s claims that it shot down an SU-25 belonging to Armenian military
Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry also denied Armenia’s claims.
Turkish Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun denied Yerevan’s claims that a Turkish F-16 shot down an Armenian SU-25 fighter jet on Sept. 29. The Armenian Defense Ministry said earlier that the SU-25 warplane was over Armenian territory and the pilot was killed as a result.

“Armenia should withdraw from territories under its occupation instead of resorting to these cheap propaganda tricks,” Altun told Bloomberg.
The Armenian Defense Ministry said earlier that the SU-25 warplane was over Armenian territory and the pilot was killed as a result.
Shushan Stepanyan, an Armenian Defense Ministry spokeswoman, wrote on her Facebook page that the plane had been on a military assignment when it was shot down.
Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry also denied Armenia’s claims.
